The Geoff Love Sound - Banjo Movie Parade

And sticking with the banjos, here's Mr Love jumping on the bandwagon as Britain officially goes banjo mad in the 70s.. Deliverance was very popular of course and there was the fondly remembered chocolate bar which XYZ has mentioned, but I didn't like the red ones.

  1. Thanks for the ad link there. I like how they keep giving the sign of the cross - wonder what that's all about. Chocolate bars specifically aimed at Christians, maybe. I don't remember the red ones or the blue ones having a roast nut flavour! Also don't remember them being in twos like Twix! Shows how bad my memory's getting! Either that or it's actually an American ad for an American bar also called Banjo (although they do seem to have a suspected Brit-trying-to-be-American accent on that song there)!

Oh! Thanks for the Geoff Love, by the way! :) I look forward to hearing this.

  2. No they were in the UK, I remember that logo on the packet. Although I'm confused now as I might have preferred the red ones cos I didn't like nutty stuff then. Apart from Madness of course..

  5. The red Banjo had toasted coconut on the top. The blue one had chopped toasted nuts :)

  6. Banjo was my favourite chocolate in the 80s. There is a Facebook Campaign on a mission to get Banjo (made by Mars) back on our supermarket shelves.

There is also a separate Petition link here -> http://t.co/XuQla8yHqR
